  5.     KrisCards 2.0 is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  6.     to the user for a 10 day evaluation period.  Feel free to share it
  7.     with your friends or to upload it to bulletin boards as long as the
  8.     original files remain unaltered and intact.

  11.     WHAT IS SHAREWARE?
  12.     ------------------
  13.     Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software.  Because
  14.     of the low overhead, Shareware products often have more features or
  15.     a lower price than similar retail products.  And since you can "try
  16.     before you buy" during the free trial period, Shareware has the
  17.     ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you
  18.     don't pay for it.  Continued use after the trial period requires that
  19.     you "register" the program.

  22.     WHAT IS REGISTRATION?
  23.     ---------------------
  24.     Registration grants you a license to freely use the KrisCards program
  25.     and its images within certain limits.  You do not own the program or
  26.     the images.  The license is for one copy of the software for use on
  27.     any one computer at any one time.  Registration fees give a shareware
  28.     author incentive to develop new products and provide support for
  29.     existing products.  It is the wages for our efforts.  Besides being
  30.     the "right thing to do", registration is legally required to use any
  31.     shareware program after the evaluation period.

  33.     Our license is for PERSONAL and NON-PROFIT use.  Commercial use is
  34.     prohibited.  Additional details concerning business and BBS use is
  35.     listed in the legal section of the program documentation.

  38.     WHAT DO I GET?
  39.     --------------
  40.     Registered users recieve the latest version of KrisCards, technical
  41.     support, full documentation, and other benefits.  These benefits
  42.     include a choice of card sets (where applicable), more icons, and
  43.     discounts on other products.  As a registered user, you may use
  44.     KrisCards and images from the card sets for any LAWFUL manner.
  45.     You may not copy the program, blank cards or images for others.

  47.     KrisCards are intended to be used as greeting cards.  However,
  48.     registration allows you to use the images in other forms, such as:
  49.     1). as clip art
  50.     2). as "wallpaper"
  51.     3). in private newsletters
  52.     4). as FAX cover sheets
  53.     5). in non-profit group bulletins
  54.     6). as client greetings (no advertisements)
  55.     7). in BBS promotions (but not as menu pages)
  56.     8). in other electronic and printed forms

  59.     Please use a printed copy of ORDER.FRM when ordering.

  61. US and Canada ordering information
  62. ----------------------------------
  63.     * Cash, Check, Money Order or U.S. Postal Order.  No COD'S.
  64.   
  65.     * All payments must be in U.S. funds drawn on U.S. banks. 
  66.       An exception is made for Canadian currency and cheques.

  68.     * Make all checks, Postal Orders and Money Orders payable to
  69.       the DUCKBILL GROUP LLC.

  71.     * Canadians may use CANORDER.FRM for payment in Canadian funds.

  73.     * Items are shipped by the postal service using Priority service.
  74.       Items shipped outside the US are sent Air Mail.

  76.     * Customer is responsible for all applicable taxes and tarrifs.
  77.       To minimize taxable amounts, we have separated the Shipping
  78.       & Handling fees since they pay for a serice rendered in Alabama.
  79.       Notice that only one shipping charge is due per order regardless
  80.       of the number of packages that may be required.

  82.     * Prices and terms subject to change without notice.  If your product
  83.       is more than a year old, consider it dated.  Please write for current
  84.       prices, or check with your BBS for the current shareware version.

  88. International Orders
  89. ---------------------
  90.     * International Orders should consider a traveler's check payable
  91.       in US funds, an international money order, or U.S. currency.
  92.  
  93.     * International orders may be subject to tarrifs.  The customer is
  94.       considered to be the importer and pays all applicable amounts.

  96.     * We cannot accept checks drawn on foreign banks.
  97.  
  98.       We regret that there is not a universal currency.  Exchange rates
  99.       vary widely and local banks charge a hefty sum for conversions.
  100.       Exchange rates also affect your perception of the program cost when
  101.       compare to US dollars.  For example, 20 British Pounds is roughly
  102.       equivalent to 30 US dollars, while the same dollar amount is almost 
  103.       47,000 Italian Lira! (US exchange rates as of 11/94).

  106. Special Note for CASH Payments
  107. ------------------------------
  108.     Please use 2 envelopes when mailing cash.  Place the cash inside an
  109.     envelope and tape all coinage.  Seal the envelope and write the amount
  110.     on the cover in normal size letters.  Wrap this envelope with the order
  111.     form to prevent anyone from reading the amount.  Place the order form
  112.     inside the mailing envelope and post accordingly.
